Classes
At 1441 Jiu Jitsu, we strive to provide students with the tools and instruction they need to excel. Whether your goals are self-defense, competition, fitness or just for fun - our program is designed for you.
We teach using a combination of different methods:
We use the traditional teaching methods which so clearly established jiu jitsu as the most effective martial art in the world, in the 90’s (and beyond).
Additionally, we employ more modern methods such as “task-based games" a.k.a. the “ecological approach”.
Along with your Free Trial, we offer a complimentary Intro Class to help get you started.
We also offer private lessons, sparring footage analysis and more…

Private lessons are a longstanding tradition in jiu jitsu. They are a proven way to elevate your game. Pre-planning and focus on which specific skills you wish to develop are key to maximizing results.
Tape Study (Rolling Commentary) is another tool we use to help students accomplish their goals and accelerate skill acquisition. Upon request, the coach will study video footage of a student during live sparring and provide voice-over commentary. The coach will point out good technique, missed opportunities, underlying concepts and more. The finished video is then sent to the student to keep and review.
A short clip taken from a Tape Study has been provided below.
